Ekaterina Shishikina - about her favourite places in Finland.
Everybody knows that Finland is famous for Santa Claus Village near Rovaniemi; however, there are many nice places to visit in any part of Finland, you don't even need to go up north.
Finland is a perfect country for people who love nature and being outdoors. It can offer everything: lakes with clear water, forests for trekking, snowy slopes for skiing in winter, northern lights during long winter nights.
Of course, there are many national parks and well maintained paths for everybody interested.

First of all, if you stop by Helsinki, Finnish capital, you can visit very close city in neighbourhood – Espoo. In Espoo there is great national park – Nuuksio.

You can follow the paths and enjoy breathtaking views; don't forget to take sausage and bread with you to get it fried on fire in specially organized areas.
If you go to Karjala (Karelia) region, Eastern Finland, visit Lieksa, small Finnish town and take ferry to Koli National Park – you will fall in love with natural beauty.
Actually, near Lieksa you can find another national park – Karhunpolku. Magnificent landscapes and clean air will create a burst of energy and good mood for many days.
